Falling into Winter
“Winter Blue” Ruth Hayes Watercolour |
“Creativity takes Courage”….. Matisse
There’s something about the light. Each year it happens as I notice the days getting shorter. Feeling a sadness at the dying of another year and the approaching cold of winter I try to focus on the moment and start to notice the beauty that is present even as it changes. Some might claim that Autumn with it’s stunning colour is the loveliest season of all. The skies change as well with new shades of blue and purple that I hadn’t noticed all summer. Finding gratitude in the moment the courage comes to create and paint once again those fallen leaves and storm grey clouds and small children in their bright winter jackets or whatever stirs my imagination.. You are welcome to come and create in my upcoming series of classes.
